Community Health Nursing Lab (CHN)
Community Health Nursing Lab (CHN)
The Community Health Nursing Lab (CHN) is designed to prepare students for providing effective nursing care at the community level. This lab focuses on developing practical skills related to public health, preventive care, and community-based nursing practices.
Students are trained to assess the health needs of individuals, families, and communities through surveys, health assessments, and field-based activities. The lab emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and early detection of health problems.
Through demonstrations, role plays, and practical exercises, students gain hands-on experience in areas such as immunization programs, maternal and child health services, nutrition education, family welfare activities, and primary health care services. The CHN Lab helps students develop leadership qualities, communication skills, and a strong sense of social responsibility, enabling them to serve effectively in both rural and urban community settings.
